Exhaust flap kit for the Ferrari 355, exhaust flap, vacuum unit with heat protection, hose, sealing rings, electromagnetic changeover valve
The exhaust valve kit fixes a common problem with 355 models. The original exhaust valve on the 355 requires vacuum to fully open. If a leak in the vacuum system (porous hose, etc.) causes some of the necessary vacuum to be lost, the original valve is no longer able to open. This creates excessive back pressure at high rpm. This is one of the reasons why 355 exhaust manifolds are often defective.
The Capristo replacement kit includes an exhaust flap that works in reverse and automatically opens and remains closed in the event of a vacuum system failure. Additionally, the exhaust flap features a patented zero-play bearing that ensures optimal, vibration-free operation even at high temperatures.
In addition, the kit consists of an electromagnetic switching valve, silicone vacuum hose, two sealing rings and vacuum canister with heat protection.
