Chip Tuning / Software Optimization: BMW MHD UNLOCK (OBD Unlock) – Activation for OBD Flash
With our BMW MHD UNLOCK (OBD Unlock), we enable the activation of supported BMW control units, allowing for software optimization to be subsequently performed via the OBD interface (e.g., with MHD).
Depending on the vehicle/control unit, an OBD flash may be blocked ex works. The OBD Unlock removes this block – if technically supported – so that the control unit is prepared for OBD-based adjustments.
Prerequisites / Pre-Check:
Please send us the vehicle identification number (VIN) in advance and – if possible – the control unit/software versions (DME/ECU information) so that we can check compatibility and confirm whether an OBD Unlock is possible.
Process:
On-site Appointment:
Performed directly on the vehicle at one of our locations.
Sending in the Control Unit:
Alternatively, you can send us the engine control unit (ECU). It is usually processed on the same working day and then immediately sent back to you (depending on delivery/goods receipt).
Remote:
Possible depending on vehicle/setup. Performed via remote connection with suitable hardware (details after pre-check).
Important Note:
The MHD UNLOCK is the technical preparation for OBD-based software adjustments. The actual power increase / stage software is not automatically included and can be obtained separately.
Liability / Legal:
The use and application of tuning software may require approval and registration depending on the country/region. Use on public roads is only permitted within the framework of applicable regulations and is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
