The 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine (S63 B44T4) in the BMW M models features an indirect intercooling circuit, where the charge air is cooled by a water-cooled intercooler. With our innovative high-performance intercooler from Wagner Tuning, you can replace the original intercooler and experience an impressive performance increase.
Our high-performance intercooler features a new performance core measuring 192 mm x 156 mm x 128 mm. It was specifically developed for the demanding requirements of the BMW M5/M8 engine and offers an incredible 75% more external core volume compared to the standard intercooler. The optimized ratio between inner and outer cooling surface ensures maximum heat transfer and optimal internal airflow. The cast aluminum end boxes were designed using state-of-the-art CAD technology and optimized through CFD simulations. The result is outstanding cooling properties with minimal backpressure, ensuring optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in power. This kit is ideally suited even for demanding racing.
To ensure long-lasting cooling, all Wagner Tuning intercoolers are equipped with a heat-conducting, anti-corrosion coating. Installation of the system is straightforward and plug-and-play thanks to our detailed installation instructions.
