Thanks to its impressive core dimensions of 600 mm x 395 mm x 135 mm [stepped] (28.9L), this intercooler offers a 127% larger airflow area and an incredible 250% more charge air volume compared to the original. The newly developed Competition high-performance core ensures sufficient airflow to adjacent components such as the radiator, thus guaranteeing optimal cooling conditions. This high-quality Tube Fin core with internal turbulators enables even filling of the intercooler and achieves excellent cooling properties with minimal backpressure. This makes this kit perfect for racing and demanding driving conditions. Our intercoolers are also treated with an anti-corrosion coating, which not only protects against environmental influences but also enables long-lasting and optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. The cast aluminum end boxes are specially optimized and were perfected using flow analysis in a CFD system to ensure the best possible airflow.
The robust intercooler and crossmember unit weighs just 18.0 kg thanks to the new Competition high-performance mesh, which further contributed to the weight reduction. Installation is easy using the original mounting points and requires no additional effort (a one-to-one replacement). We demonstrate the pressure stability and reliability of our products with a pressure test of up to 6 bar. During the development of this high-performance intercooler, the focus was on achieving the best possible internal flow rate with 82 mm diameter inlets and outlets. This ensures optimal airflow and achieves optimal performance.
