Many Mercedes-Benz models from 2020 onwards have factory-locked Bosch control units from the MDG1 MRD1 / MRG1 family. With our Mail-in Unlock Service, we professionally unlock your engine control unit so that it is then ready for further tuning measures.
Note: You can purchase a performance upgrade (e.g., Stage 1/Stage 2) or other tuning options separately from us and have them installed after the unlock.

BOSCH MD1CP001 (MRD1) SPC5777M
BOSCH MG1CP002 (MRG1) SPC5777M
Procedure:
For unlocking, the ECU must be removed and sent to us. After the unlock, we will return the control unit immediately so that it can be reinstalled and reused.
Preliminary Check (recommended):
Please identify your control unit in advance using bench identification (ECU type/hardware/software) so that we can clearly confirm suitability.
Alternatively, we can check suitability after receiving the ECU.
Processing Time:
Processing usually takes three business days after receipt of goods (depending on delivery/receipt of goods).
Important Note:
Depending on the initial state, the control unit may be reset to stock condition during the unlock. If a previous calibration/software adjustment was present, it may be permanently lost.
Note for vehicles with two control units:
Applies per ECU. If your vehicle has two control units, the service is required separately for each unit.
Tool Compatibility:
Use after unlocking depends on your tool/setup. General compatibility with all third-party tools cannot be guaranteed.
Note Lotus Emira i4:
For the Lotus Emira i4, only Bench read/write operations are available after the Mail-in Unlock.
